Here are the lyrics to "Let
Freedom Ring"
Dedicated to the service men
and women
protecting our freedom and liberating others.
"ALL gave some, some gave ALL"
by Phil Birdsell, March 30, 2003
As I was watching, the world before me, be unfolded
on TV
I stopped to think, how things might be, if our way
of life weren’t free
There would be no protest marchers cause all of them
would be shot down.
And we’d be afraid to think for ourselves and
we could never speak out loud.
CHORUS:
Let Freedom Ring,
Let Your Voices Sing
For the Love of This Land,
And for the Freedom it Stands
In God We Trust,
Stand United We Must
Fight for Liberty,
And Our Rights to be Free
To disagree, with the ruling regime, would mean death
or being tortured in jail
And if you didn’t do, what they told you to do,
they’d kill you and your family as well
Now I don’t know how, I could live like that,
and I sure don’t want to find out
So if I have to fight, to protect those rights, I’d
stand on the mountain and shout
CHORUS:
It’s a pretty big world, with many different beliefs,
on how this life should be
And though we speak, in different ways, there’s
a truth that helps me see
What’s right and wrong, what’s good and
bad, and what’s the purpose of life
To live in peace, protect the ones we love, has always
come with a price.
CHORUS:
When we are, in the midst of war, with our service people
giving their lives
Protecting our freedom, and giving to others, a chance
for a better life
To all the son’s and daughters, mothers and fathers,
serving our country so well
I wanna thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for
ringing that Liberty Bell.
CHORUS:
CHORUS:
CHORUS:
Let Your Voices Sing,
Let Freedom Ring!
